I was reading something today and I decided it was proper I share these thoughts with you.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to sincerely evaluate yourself once in a while. Today I would like you to judge yourself and the judgment is simple; Are you are slave?
When people are put through slavery, or people are colonized; it destroys their self esteem, gives birth to victim mentality and breeds an attitude of irresponsibility. A slave does not have to provide housing for himself. It is the slave master that provides housing and food. That makes something about slavery attractive; the slave does not have to be personally responsible for providing certain things for himself. Eventually, the slave gets used to not providing for his personal needs.
When his needs are not met, it is someone else’s fault, when things don’t work for you, it’s the government’s fault or if you find it difficult to succeed, it becomes your parent’s fault.
Unfortunately when you blame someone for your situation, you transfer the responsibility for your success to that person. Think about this. A wise saying quotes
“You are not yet a failure until you blame someone else.”
So how many people have you blamed for your misfortunes? Meditate on these are ask yourself if you are behaving like a slave. My prayer is that we all will all come to the point where we can boldly take responsibilities for everything that happens to us and around us. Always call on God; he is the perfect friend that will always be there. You can take a little time and say a word of prayer and ask God for deliverance from slavery mentality and give you true freedom.
Jesus cares for you.
